Previously he was involved in various telecommunications research projects that were funded by the German Ministry for Research and Development. Here he gained expertise in optical fiber-based communication systems as well as advanced telecommunication services. Numerous reports and publications resulted out of these activities.
After his research work, Dr. Meisenburg joined Nixdorf Computer, the largest German computer manufacturer in the 1980’s, where he was responsible for introducing local area network technologies into the worldwide organization. In that context he started cooperating with US and Japanese high tech companies.
Since the beginning of the 1990’s he has worked for American, Japanese, Italian and British networking and communication companies establishing their sales and support organizations for Europe, Central Asia and Middle East. In the roles of Managing Director, Sales Director and VP in the respective companies he has gained in-depth knowledge not only of the various networking technologies (802.3/11 wired and WiFi, microwave, 802.16/WiMAX, mesh, PMP, P2P, etc) but also of their applications (internet access, VoIP, video surveillance, corporate networks in oil and gas industry, etc.).
